About

Glutathione is a tripeptide (glutamate-cysteine-glycine) serving as the body's master antioxidant. It inhibits tyrosinase and shifts melanogenesis from eumelanin (dark) to pheomelanin (light). A 2023 systematic review found oral glutathione (250-1,000 mg/day) may reduce melanin index in multiple RCTs, primarily in Asian populations.

How It Works

Tripeptide (glutamate-cysteine-glycine) serving as the body's master antioxidant; inhibits tyrosinase and shifts melanogenesis from eumelanin (dark) to pheomelanin (light); detoxifies reactive oxygen species and supports vitamin C and E recycling.
