About

Astaxanthin is a carotenoid antioxidant that spans the full width of cell membranes, providing both internal and external free radical scavenging. It is 6,000x more potent than vitamin C in singlet oxygen quenching. A 2020 meta-analysis of 11 RCTs found oral astaxanthin (3-6 mg/day) significantly improved skin moisture, elasticity, and reduced wrinkle depth.

How It Works

Carotenoid antioxidant that spans the full width of cell membranes, providing both internal and external free radical scavenging; 6,000x more potent than vitamin C in singlet oxygen quenching; reduces UV-induced MMP-1 expression and NF-kB activation; supports dermal collagen preservation.
